CA Officer Faces Rape Charges |

A Westminster police officer was arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a woman after she identified him in a lineup and his service revolver was found in her car, investigators said Monday. Officer Anthony Nicholas Orban, 30, and Jeff Thomas Jelinek, an officer for the California Department of Corrections, were both arrested Saturday after allegedly abducting a 24-year-old restaurant employee as she left work at Ontario Mills Mall. Orban forced the victim to drive to Fontana, raped her and left, Ontario Sgt. Dave McBride said. He then called Jelinek, who had stayed behind in Ontario, for a ride, he said. Orban was booked for investigation of kidnapping, false imprisonment, rape and carjacking. Jelinek was booked for investigation of carjacking and as an accessory to the crime.
