Savannah, GA – Two men wanted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and the Wrightsville, Georgia Police Department were arrested by the United States Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, the GBI, the Wrightsville Police Department, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, the Laurens County Sheriff’s Department and the Georgia Department of Corrections K-9 teams on August 11, 2010 in East Dublin, Georgia.

Jarvis Miller, 20, and Demarcio Williams, 19, were wanted by the Wrightsville Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for the offense of murder. Both are wanted in reference to a homicide that occurred at 660-3 East College Street in Wrightsville, Georgia on June 28, 2010. The warrants were issued on April 11, 2010 Wrightsville, Georgia

The case was referred to the United States Marshals Service Savannah Office of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force to locate and arrest Williams and Miller. The Marshals Fugitive Task Force worked closely with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation on August 11, 2010 and received information that Williams was at the Dublin, Georgia hospital visiting his girlfriend. It was also thought that Miller was at the hospital too. Upon arrival at the hospital, investigators determined that Williams had fled the area because he saw a Laurens County Sheriff’s Department marked vehicle pull up at the hospital and thought they were coming for him. As it turned out the Deputy Sheriff was bringing a prisoner to the hospital to get checked out and the officer did not know anything about Williams or Miller. Further investigation conducted by the Marshals Task Force and the GBI revealed that Williams had gone to his mother’s residence on Morgan Road in East Dublin, Georgia. While in route to the mother’s residence, investigators learned that both Williams and Miller had left the residence, riding in a grey in color Silverado pickup truck with another male and two females. The Task Force Investigators and GBI requested the assistance of the Laurens County Sheriff’s Department, the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, the Wrightsville Police Department and the Georgia DOC to saturate the area to look for the truck. Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force investigator saw the truck traveling on Morgan road and radioed for assistance. Laurens County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a traffic stop and blocked the path of the vehicle. Both Miller and Williams were arrested without incident. The other male and two females were initially detained for harboring a fugitive, but were later released without being charged. Miller and Williams were transported to the Johnson County Jail.
