| 1986 Killer Dies In Prison |

A man convicted of killing an Argus Leader newspaper delivery man in 1986 died in prison this morning, according to the Department of Corrections. Howard Adams died at 53. He was serving two life sentences for the first-degree murder, kidnapping and robbery of DuWayne Jensen. Adams and brother-in-law Jimmy Lee Boykin kidnapped Jensen on June 19, 1986 while he was dropping off papers at a grocery store at Sixth Street and Weber Avenue, then drove him to a field outside the city and killed him with a knife. An autopsy will be conducted on Adams’ body, and the Division of Criminal Investigation is looking into the death, which is standard procedure for inmate deaths. Read More. |
