|Weapons Charges Get Man Time In Federal, State Prisons|
A Bluffs man is facing incarceration in both state and federal prisons for crimes in two counties.
Virgil Chad Holder, 37, was sentenced to four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections on his guilty plea to felony unlawful possession of weapons by a felon in Scott County, State’s Attorney Michael L. Hill said Monday.
A plea agreement reached Thursday called for the dismissal of a second count of unlawful possession of weapons.
Holder is to serve that sentence after he finishes 70 months of incarceration in federal prison for a methamphetamine-related charge stemming from an April 27, 2007, explosion at a Jacksonville house.
