New Hampshire ranks high in prison health spending |

CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — A new report ranks New Hampshire 4th highest in how much it spent per inmate on prison health care in 2011, though spending has dropped considerably since then. The study released Tuesday by the Pew Charitable Trusts says New Hampshire's per inmate spending on prison health care grew 28 percent between 2007 and 2011, rising to $10,191. The current budget allocates about $8,800 per inmate. Read More. |
