| Inmate freed from Rikers Island early - by mistake - is found |

Police have found a Rikers Island inmate let out of jail accidentally. The New York Department of Corrections reclaimed inmate Kimmanie Waisome, 23, Tuesday afternoon around noon. Waisome was erroneously discharged from DOC custody last on July 15. He wasn't supposed to be released until July 15 -- of 2015. Waisome had just started serving time for attempted robbery and criminal possession of a weapon. The DOC found Waisome at a residence in Jamaica, Queens, where he was arrested. Read More. |
