Escapee captured at home of woman he had assaulted |

BOWLING GREEN β A man who escaped Wednesday evening from a minimum security prison near Bowling Green was captured Thursday afternoon in the apartment of the woman he had been convicted of assaulting β a woman now accused of helping him hide. Jhon Rosado, 24, was found hiding in an apartment in the 1000 block of Fairview Avenue that is occupied by Bobbie Merritt, 29, whom Mr. Rosado assaulted at her home May 17 β the crime for which he had been assigned to a special domestic-violence program at NorthWest Community Corrections Center following his Sept. 9 sentencing for fourth-degree felony domestic violence. Ms. Merritt is now charged with one count of harboring a fugitive, a fifth-degree felony, and was to be booked into the Wood County jail pending arraignment. Read More. |
