| SC officers search for escaped prison inmate |

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. -- The South Carolina Department of Corrections is searching for an inmate who escaped from prison over the weekend. Officers say Hoyle Mincey, 57, got away from the Wateree Correctional Institution in Rembert around 8:30 p.m. last Sunday. Agency leaders have not said how he escaped. Saturday, authorities were searching for Mincey in the Shelby area of Cleveland County. Read More. |
