Consultant Recommends Adding Prison Beds |

LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV)- On the eve of Governor Dave Heineman's testimony before a legislative panel looking into the prison sentencing scandal, the state Corrections Department receives a recommendation to ease overcrowding. A consultant has recommended adding 450 new beds a the Community Corrections Center in Lincoln, adding 300 beds to the Community Corrections Center in Omaha, and a 358 bed Medical, Intake, Food Service expansion between the Lincoln Correctional Center and Diagnostic and Evaluation Center.
