Through Operation Porch Lights Out, offenders are required to remain at home with their lights out and not answer the door for trick-or-treaters. If they’re not at home, they are required to attend a meeting at a secure location during the evening hours when children are likely to be trick-or-treating. Read More. |

How does someone such as myself know if a certain registered sex offender is under probation or parole supervision? The reason I ask is, I am trying to find out the restrictions if any that are in place once a person becomes a registered sex offender. Meaning, is ANY sex offender allowed to be around any minor children? I was told that there are different levels for a sex offender, that if their crime NOT against a child and or minor it is ok for them to be living in the same house as minors? I do apologize if this might seem off course, I am just trying to research this on my own. I recently found out that my Grandson is living in the same house with a registered sex offender and it scares me to death.
