Felon Returning to Prison After Attempted Roadblock Dodge in Northeast Cobb |

An ex-con who tried to avoid a police roadblock in northeastern Cobb County last March will return to prison for his transgressions, the Cobb County District Attorney’s Office announced this week. Lietice Antwon Williams, 34, of Cartersville, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and fleeing or eluding police on Monday and was sentenced as a recidivist to five years in prison without parole and a further eight years on probation, said the DA’s Office. Williams was driving a Jeep Cherokee on the evening of March 8, 2014, when he came across a roadblock set up at Jamerson and Lee Waters roads by Cobb County police to help first responders deal with a nearby house fire.
