Judge dismisses lawsuit over bogus work release from jail |

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) — A judge has dismissed a lawsuit filed by the family of a Michigan woman who was slain alongside her husband by a man who was free on a bogus work release. Christopher Perrien was sentenced in 2013 to life in prison without parole for first-degree murder in the deaths of 62-year-old Michael Greene and 46-year-old Terri Greene. They were shot Sept. 22, 2011, at their home in Eaton County's Delta Township. Authorities say Perrien told a judge he worked for a nonexistent company to gain release from the Eaton County jail.
