| Homicide detectives investigate inmate death at Pitchess Detention Center |

Homicide detectives were called to the Pitchess Detention Center North Facility in Castaic late Wednesday afternoon to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a male adult, said a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The inmate was pronounced dead at the scene, Deputy Ryan Rouzan announced Wednesday in a news release. There is no additional information available at this time, and the investigation is on-going, he wrote. The inmate’s death marks the third incident in less than a month in which an inmate has died at the jail. Read More. |
