Prisoner on Sentenced to a Job work-release program to face court |

A PRISONER was arrested while taking part in the embattled Sentenced to a Job work-release program last month and will face court accused of being in possession of $40,000 worth of jewellery stolen from a Darwin home. The NT News can reveal that the 30-year-old woman had been taking part in the work-release program for more than a year when she was caught outside the prison with the stolen goods. Detectives from Strike Force Trident were able to confirm the jewellery – valued at about $40,000 – was stolen from a home in Leanyer on March 29 this year. Read More. |
