Garvin county officials push to bring probation office back to Pauls Valley |

PAULS VALLEY, Okla. —Garvin County officials are working with the Department of Corrections to bring a probation office back to Pauls Valley. Currently, offenders in Garvin County have to travel to either Purcell or Chickasha to report to a probation officer because there is no probation office in Pauls Valley. Sheriff Larry Rhodes said several offenders in Garvin County are waiting months before they report to their probation officer. “I have actually heard the excuse, well they’re in Purcell, it’s hard for me to get to Purcell,” Rhodes said.
