| Corcoran drug treatment facility gets accreditation |

CORCORAN — The California Substance Abuse Treatment Facility and State Prison in Corcoran has received national accreditation following an extensive review process. The American Correctional Association (ACA) accredited the facility, along with six other California prisons, Sunday during its annual conference in Boston. The ACA sets standards aimed at improving prisons. According to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), institutions seeking ACA accreditation are evaluated for all prison operations including finances, staff training and development, inmate programs, health care and sanitation.
