An inmate who died at Muncy state prison in Lycoming County has been revealed as a Centre County resident. Superintendent Robert Smith reported the death of Janica Germello, 28, of State College, in a Department of Corrections news release Tuesday. Germello was reportedly found unresponsive in the shower Sunday evening. Corrections officers provided emergency first aid until paramedics arrived, the release said. She was declared dead at 9:38 p.m. by paramedics through a Muncy Valley Hospital physician. Read More. |
