A Dane County Jail inmate trying to hang himself was stopped by deputies Wednesday evening, with the inmate now under suicide watch. The incident happened at about 6:30 p.m. on the seventh floor of the jail in the City-County Building, the Sheriff's Office said. "As deputies were conducting a security check down the hallway, a deputy noticed an inmate with a ligature around his neck, attempting to hang himself," said Sgt. Brenda Reinen. Read More. |
