State inmate escapes work crew in Portland |

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Authorities are searching for a 37-year-old Oregon inmate who escaped from a work crew near Pittock Mansion in Portland. Portland Police Sgt. Pete Simpson says Jasson Ray was working Friday morning when he escaped into a neighborhood south of the mansion. He was last seen at Good Samaritan Hospital after getting a ride from "an unwitting person." He told hospital staff he had an arm injury. The Oregon Department of Corrections says Ray was with a work crew out of the Columbia River Correctional Institution in Portland. Read More. |
