| 'Human error' blamed for accidental release of prisoner |

PONTIAC, MI -- Oakland County sheriff's officials say a wanted fugitive, who was freed accidentally Wednesday, was captured less than 24 hours later in Detroit. "Unfortunately, human error led to this individual being released," said Oakland County Sheriff Michael J. Bouchard. "I am proud of my Fugitive Apprehension Team as well as the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force and other involved agencies for their diligence in the capture of this violent criminal." Read More. |
