Corrections officers stop contraband drop at Taft prison |

TAFT (AP) — Prison officials say officers foiled a contraband drop at a prison in Taft earlier this week. The Department of Corrections said officers at the minimum-security Jess Dunn Correctional Center saw an inmate running toward a housing unit at about 4 a.m. Sunday. After the guards captured the inmate, they found a large amount of contraband nearby. Officers then saw another person running away from the Muskogee County facility, and that man was caught and arrested after a short foot chase. Read More. |
