ADOC investigating inmate-on-inmate stabbing at Holman Correctional Facility |

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - The Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) spokesperson says they are investigating after an inmate stabbed another inmate at Holman Correctional Facility Tuesday evening. Spokesperson Bob Horton says the incident happened around 5:30 p.m. The injured inmate was transported off-site for treatment but Horton says their injuries are non-life-threatening. Horton says the inmate responsible for the stabbing has been detained and removed from general population. This is the same prison where Correctional Officer Kenneth Bettis was stabbed by an inmate and later died from his injuries. There was also a riot earlier this year, during which a guard and a warden were stabbed. Read More. |
