County contracts with Sapphire for inmate health care |

Sapphire Community Health Center in Hamilton will provide health care for Ravalli County jail inmates for 90 days, beginning July 1, during which time the county will send out a request for proposals for the services. The county will pay Sapphire $126,800 up front for those services. It’s one-quarter of what initially was expected to be a yearlong contract totaling about $507,000; approval of the contract was postponed this week after commissioners noted that they needed to put it out for bids.
