| Description: | Mental health care providers, administrators and others responsible for treating the mentally ill in correctional settings will gather in Las Vegas July 15-16 for the National Commission on Correctional Health Care’s mental health conference, Correctional Mental Health: Bridging the Gap, This conference focuses on major mental health care issues providers face every day and offers tangible strategies for improving care. Sessions will address broad intervention, concentrating not only on patient pathologies but also on how to restore overall patient well-being. The program format of this special conference is designed to encourage interaction among the participants. Attendees will gain new knowledge that they will be able to share with colleagues and help transform mental health care in their facilities. Program Highlights This two-day program will take place on Sunday, July 15, from 9 am to 5 pm, and Monday, July 16, from 9 am to 4 pm. Participants will have the opportunity to choose from three concurrent sessions. Breakfast and luncheon programs will be sponsored on both days. |
