| Description: | The Agenda for the Women in Criminal Justice conference is finally complete. See details about the speakers below. There will be another Leadership Panel with amazing leaders such as Raven Kazen, Judge Beverly Malazzo, Vicki Spriggs, Cherie Townsend, and Bonita White. The conference will also provide breakfast and afternoon breaks. We will host another music night, as well as offer a shuttle to the Riverwalk one night.
Some of the amazing speakers at the conference will be: As President of Training Strategies, Inc., Nancy Baird began her career as a Harris County Juvenile Probation Officer in Houston, Texas. Nancy is a dynamic facilitator and more than 20 years experience conducting training to more than 200 companies, associations, and agencies. Mark Warren worked for the Texas Department of Public Safety for 23 years, 19 of which he spent at the Training Academy. Currently, Mark is the Training Coordinator for the Texas Association of Counties. He assists with the vision, development, and delivery of programs for Texas county government. Greg Moore is the creator and CEO of DebtIntoWealth, a wealth-building education company, which educates his clients on the methods and benefits of living a debt-free life. Greg is a certified financial independence seminar leader and had conducted Debt-Freedom workshops since 1996. As a former Vice President of Investment Strategies and a National Spokesperson for American Express, Charlotte Stallings is passionate about teaching individuals how to shape their futures. With wit and humor, she generates warmth and inspires any audience to effective action. Plus, many more fascinating speakers. Exhibitors will also be in attendance. Some of the exhibitors include Godiva Chocolates, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Columbia Southern University, Avon, and others. Please check back for more information on who will be an exhibitor. The Omni has agreed to provide participants for the Women in Criminal Justice conference free wireless internet access during their stay. Registration/Sign-in will be on April 13, 2009 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and again on April 14, 2009, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM. As with all conferences with the Special Programs Division, for every three paid participant from the same agency, a forth can attend for FREE! Payment can be made via cash, check, or credit card (visa or mastercard) before, during, or after the conference. |
