Description:	The Kansas Juvenile Justice Authority is seeking a skilled accountant to join the Fiscal Division. This position originates and completes purchasing and financial transactions for the agency in a friendly, small office environment. Primary Responsibilities Include: Maintain financial records to sustain internal control, accountability, and reporting on various funds. Originate transactions in STARS and SOKI. Analyze data to ensure accuracy of fund and PCA codes. Prepare monthly expenditure reports based on STARS data and internal accounting system data, researching questionable items and unusual trends. Create special financial reports as needed. Purchase a variety of goods and services in compliance with purchasing and BPC guidelines. Assist in development of the agency’s annual budget request. Serve as custodian of an Imprest Fund. Manage the capital asset inventory records. To see the position description Click Here! Key Requirements: Knowledge of computer applications, specifically, Excel, Word and State of Kansas systems (SOKI, STARS, STARS AdHoc, KIRMS). Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience in professional accounting/auditing work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
