| Description: | LIEUTENANT (SO1173) The candidate for this position is responsible for maintaining a continuous state of alertness and awareness so as to control and secure the facility and residents. Typical duties include: * Perform all duties of / and supervise detention officers and sergeants * Provide leadership to peer or lower-classified employees through the assignment of work, monitoring of progress, review of results and technical instruction or training * Ensure processing and documentation of all incoming and outgoing residents and vehicles to / from the facility * Medication control and inventory for inmate residents The right candidate will have: * A high school diploma or GED * 2 years directly-related experience in this field |
