| Description: | SUBSTANCE ABUSE COUNSELOR (SO1272) The candidate for this position provides substance abuse counseling services to residents who have drug aftercare counseling as a condition of their release. Typical duties include: * Provide a minimum of 30 minutes counseling weekly to residents who have drug aftercare counseling as a condition of their release * Assist in the training of case management staff so that staff is familiar with substance abuse treatment methods and goals * Liaison with outside agencies and individuals to provide community outreach programs The right candidate will have: * Advanced degree in behavioral sciences, preferably in the area of psychology, social work or rehabilitative counseling or a Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Sciences and at least 2 years of substance abuse treatment experience or training MUST BE LICENSED IN COLORADO |
