| Description: | The Belknap County Corrections’ Department is seeking a highly motivated, experienced individual to work in a team environment to design, manage and promote the correctional facilities industry, educational, substance abuse, self-help and religious/spiritual programs to the inmates in accordance with applicable federal and state laws. The Director develops and directs business-oriented work and training enterprises for offenders; participates in the classification of the inmates; schedules programming to fit within the institutional needs and maintains open communication with staff, interns, volunteers, and inmates. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or social services with at least 3 years of full-time teaching experience. Skills in time management, oral and written communication, mediation, leadership, problem solving, curriculum development and management are required. Successful completion of the New Hampshire Association of Counties Corrections Academy and Officer Certification Program, mandatory in-house annual training to maintain certification and annual physical fitness testing (Cooper standards) will be required. Starting Salary Range: $41,800 - $48,485. |
