CCS provides healthcare services to correctional facilities nationwide. We are currently seeking a temporary, part time, Virginia licensed Master’s level Mental Health Professional (LCSW) to work at our Portsmouth City Jail, located in Portsmouth, Virginia. This is a temporary, part time position, working 24 hours per week (flexible with the days and times). This position provides initial needs evaluations, crisis management and on-going mental health services to individuals identified with serious mental health needs. It also works closely with the site Psychiatrist and the nursing staff to ensure continuity of care throughout the individual’s stay at the jail. Shift: Temporary, Part Time, Day (24 hours – flexible with days and times) Location: Portsmouth City Jail, Portsmouth, Virginia Job Requirements • Master’s degree in a behavioral/social science field from an accredited college or university. • Coursework and professional experience that indicates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation. • Licensure in Virginia from the appropriate state licensing board. LCSW preferred. • Would like a CPR certification and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required by contract. If you don't have, we will pay for it. |
