Description: | PAE seeks a Senior Level Subject Matter Expert to provide top-level expertise to the Corrections System Support Program (CSSP) in Afghanistan in a variety of areas, including but not limited to applying his/her expertise and in-country experience to pre-deployment training and other periodic training sessions, representing CSSP at international conferences and recruitment events, informing and prioritizing proposals, and advising INL staff in Washington and Kabul in addition to PAE's CONUS-based implementation team. This position will be based in Washington, DC and reports to the Deputy Program Manager. Duties and Responsibilities: •The SME shall be an integral part of the Program Implementation Team, providing on a daily basis subject matter expertise to inform the management team in their decision making process and ensuring that Afghan corrections issues and priorities are at the forefront. •The SME shall provide expert guidance to the DPM on which projects and procurements are the most critical and most time sensitive. •The SME shall provide support in the areas of project development, monitoring and evaluation, and production of deliverables under this task order. •The SME shall be responsible for recruitment and selection of CSSP Advisors who possess position description qualifications (or equivalent with the permission of the INL Program Manager and the DPM) with significant input of the in-country CSSP team management. •The SME shall also play a principal role in the substantive pre-deployment preparation of Advisors, working together with the team who shall oversee other CJPS pre-deployment training requirements and manage the administrative aspects of training Qualifications: •Must be an American Citizen •Must be able to possess/maintain an MRPT certification •Minimum five (5) years of experience managing multi-million dollar international contracts. •Minimum (2) years of experience as Deputy Regional Administrator (or equivalent) preferred. •A minimum of four (4) years of experience in other senior management roles that strategic planning, resource management, and budgeting. •Minimum (10) years experience as warden (or equivalent) at a medium to large facility, with experience working with the legislature, court system, and managing personnel required. •Graduation from a certified state or federal corrections or probation officer training academy. •A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Individuals without a degree but with significant corrections management experience (minimum of five years) at the rank warden (or equivalent) or higher will be considered. •Working knowledge and experience in corrections intelligence operations. •Superior interpersonal skills. •Superior writing and communication skills. |
