| Description: | The Corrections System Support Program (CSSP) Task Order is seeking an individual to be based in our Kabul, Afghanistan office and to serve as the Embedded Mentor Manager. The Embedded Mentor Manager’s objective is to •Ensure that embedded advisors at the Afghan government’s Central Prison Directorate (GDPDC) headquarters provide comprehensive mentoring and instruction, resulting in sustainable knowledge transfer •Serve as the primary mentor to the GDPDC Director General The Embedded Mentor Manager shall •Oversee daily mentoring performed by the seven advisors •Ensure that advisors are meeting program deliverables •Coordinate submission of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting •Liaise with senior Afghan government’s Central Prison Directorate (GDPDC) officials and provide mentoring services when necessary Qualifications: Minimum (3) three years as Associate/Deputy Warden (or equivalent) •Minimum (2) two years of corrections experience at the executive level, with central office, regional or state-level oversight over multiple correctional institutions and operations •Minimum (12) twelve years’ experience in corrections, at least two of which in inmate work programs, developing training plans or industry programs •A bachelor’s degree plus some demonstration of continuing education in inmate work programs, vocational programs or training development •Additionally, the Special Advisor must have at least (2) two years' experience at the senior executive level, with central office, regional or state-level oversight over multiple correctional institutions and operations (e.g., Director of Institutions, etc). Only those who meet or exceed the minimum qualifications will be considered. |
