| Description: | In 1993, Spectrum established its Correctional Treatment Division to provide specialized treatment to offenders with a history of chronic substance abuse and criminal behavior. Using a cognitive-behavioral skill building and therapeutic community approach, Spectrum's correctional treatment programs teach participants practical ways to achieve a law abiding life, free from drugs and crime. Today, Spectrum provides a range of services to more than 6,500 criminal offenders each day, in community-based settings and correctional institutions throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Georgia, Tennessee, Iowa, Maine and Washington State. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties in support of Residential Substance Abuse Treatment Center located in a correctional environment. Functions include data coordination, maintenance of personnel files and coordination of data collection process. This position enters all data into respective databases and maintains hard copies of all data. Qualifications: •High School graduate/GED with a minimum of 2 years administrative services experience required. •Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel required. •Ability to type at least 40 WPM. •Ability to communicate effectively with staff and public. •Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with program participants.
