| Description: | CHOOSE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE Corrections Corporation of America is Now Hiring a Treatment Counselor and Treatment Manager in San Diego, CA! Treatment Counselor The Treatment Counselor implements a wide range of alcohol and drug use programs and provides case management and counseling services to inmates/residents assigned to the treatment program(s). Requirements: • High School diploma, GED certification or equivalent is required. • Three years of full-time counseling experience with a criminal justice population in a substance use disorder program is required. • Must obtain an Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counselor Certification by an accredited certifying organization within six months of hire date. • A valid driver's license is required. Treatment Manager The Treatment Manager is responsible for administration oversight and clinical supervision of substance use treatment programs. Plans, implements and monitors the treatment program(s) which may be an outpatient model, an intensive outpatient model, or a residential therapeutic community model. Selects and supervises qualified counseling staff who provides case management and counseling services, and assist in the overall operation of the program. Requirements: • Must possess a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Certificate (LCSW) or Master's Degree in Social Work; • or Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences is required. One year of experience supervising counseling staff with a criminal justice population in a substance use disorder program is required. • Must obtain an Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counselor Certification by an accredited certifying organization within two years of hire date; or Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science or a closely related field is required. • Two years of experience supervising counseling staff with a criminal justice population in a community based program is required. • Must demonstrate knowledge of the methods and techniques of substance use treatment, aftercare planning, clinical supervision and applicable guidelines pertaining to the operations of a treatment program. • Experience with Microsoft Office applications or other similar software applications is preferred. • A valid driver's license is required.
