Description: CoreCivic is currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse, Registered Nurse (F/T and PRN) and Mental Health Coordinator in Olney Springs, CO! Licensed Practical Nurse The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for the performances of basic nursing duties to include execution of physician orders, operation of pill call, operation of sick call, and assisting the physician in examinations and treatments and performs technical/clinical procedures within the scope of his/her license. Assists in the professional management of the facility medical department. Requirements: • Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse. • Colorado LPN license required. • A valid driver's license is required. • Must be at least 21 years of age. Registered Nurse (F/T and PRN) The Registered Nurse plans and provides comprehensive nursing care including, but not limited to, executing Licensed Independent Provider s orders, dispensing and administering medications, and assisting Licensed Independent Provider in examinations and treatment of patients. Applies nursing and supervisory techniques required in the care, treatment and referrals of inmates/residents. Performs all technical/clinical procedures within the scope of his/her education and licensure. Requirements: • Graduate from an accredited college, university or nursing program with a degree/diploma in nursing. • Must possess current licensure in the state of Colorado. • One year of professional nursing experience preferred. • A valid driver's license is required. • Must be at least 21 years of age Mental Health Coordinator At CoreCivic, our mental health teams make lasting changes in the lives of offenders, as we set the standards of care in the industry. CoreCivic is currently seeking licensed professional counselors or licensed clinical social workers who have a passion for providing the highest quality care in an institutional setting. In some areas these professions are also referred to as mental health therapist, mental health counselor, or psychology associate. In our organization, these professionals are placed in the position of Mental Health Coordinator to plan and provide clinical mental health services of a non-medical nature in the facility. As mid-level managers, they may coordinate and direct activities of other personnel engaged in providing mental health services to inmates/residents.   The successful candidate should be able to perform ALL of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the actual job performance requirements. 1. Conducts mental health screenings and assessments based on review of available records, and clinical interviews with inmates. 2. Provides treatment to inmates by developing, implementing and modifying individual treatment plans based on evaluation of needs and level of functioning. 3. Documents treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each person seen. 4. Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive materials and information at all times. 5. Demonstrated a thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques by way of treatments and activities used for individuals in caseload. 6 Provides appropriate mental health assessments, counseling and confrontation avoidance interventions to address the needs of inmates in crisis. Qualifications: • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or a degree in a related clinical area is required. • Post-graduate clinical experience, including experience in a comparable position, is preferred. • Must possess appropriate certification or licensure in the state where practice occurs, or appropriate credentials to work under the supervision of a licensed clinician, where applicable. • A valid driver's license is preferred, unless required by contract or applicable statute. • Must be at least 21 years of age.
