Description: The Whitestone Group Inc. is an industry leading security company providing services to the U.S. Government with an international presence. The company is currently seeking to Site Supervisors and SPO candidates for a federal contract. *Please note that we do not accept any phone calls or faxes at the corporate office regarding employment. Hourly rate does NOT include an additional $4.70/hour for H&W (the company contribution is approximately $9,776 for a full-time employee) Site Supervisors Job Description The Site Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the SPO workforce and ensuring that all personnel adhere to the established performance standards and will be responsible for all employee-related issues such as hiring, scheduling, discipline, terminations, etc. The Site Supervisor will interact with the Client in a respectful and professional manner. Responsibilities: The Site Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all reports, logs, and forms are completed as directed by the Statement of Work. All personnel training is completed as required and proper certifications, licenses, training records, and other documents are retained as required by the Client Statement of Work and have all records readily available for inspection at the request of the Client. The Site Supervisor must understand, explain, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, directives, and procedures. The Site Supervisor is responsible for the overall quality control of the security services provided by the SPO workforce. The Site Supervisors in this facility will have the responsibility of overseeing staff and incarcerated individuals and prior experience is preferred. Education/Qualifications/Requirements: • Must possess: o Have a minimum of three (3) calendar years of supervisory experience; and, o At least three (3) years of verifiable experience as a certified law enforcement officer or its military equivalency. • Be a U.S. citizen; • Be at least 21 years old; • Able to clear a Government background investigation; • Able to fluently speak, read, write, and understand English; • Successfully pass a physical and drug screen and criminal background check; • Able to withstand the physical demands of the job; • Capable of responding appropriately to emergency situations; • Maintain the proper physical fitness to perform the strenuous duties required by the job; • The ability to make quick and sound decisions under stressful conditions; • The ability to quickly adapt to changing situations; Physical Requirements: Candidate must be capable of: • Frequent or prolonged walking, standing, sitting, running, and stooping; • Climbing flights of stairs; • Responding to and subduing violent or potentially violent individual(s). Special Police Officers (Former Law Enforcement/Military Police) Job Description The Whitestone Group, Inc. is look for highly qualified, highly skilled, uniformed, and armed security officers to work in and around agency facilities to provide a deterrent against unauthorized, illegal, and potentially life-threatening activities directed toward the facilities, property, information, employees, and visiting public. These Special Police Officer (SPO) will follow post orders including access procedures (or security plan) for the specified field office. Responsibilities: SPOs will be responsible for maintaining the physical security programs, including field site access, key control, roving patrol, fixed post positions, traffic control, and escort duties. Education/Qualifications/Requirements: • Have at least three (3) years of verifiable law enforcement professional experience, either civilian or military involving: o Security screening services; o Arrest authority; o Verbal de-escalation tactics; o Daily interaction with incarcerated subjects; and, o Daily interaction with the general public; • Be a U.S. citizen; • Be at least 21 years old; • Possess a high school education or GED equivalency; • Certified/trained in the use of magnetometers, hand wands, x-ray machines, and hand searches of property where x-ray machines are not employed; • Must be a graduate of a certified federal, state, county, or local law enforcement training program, military police training program; • Must be commissioned as an SPO by the District of Columbia with the authority to carry firearms and execute arrest powers in the District; • Able to clear a Government background investigation; • Able to fluently speak, read, write, and understand English; • Possess or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license; • Successfully pass a physical and drug screen and criminal background check; • Able to withstand the physical demands of the job; • Capable of responding appropriately to emergency situations; • Maintain the proper physical fitness to perform the strenuous duties required by the job; • The ability to make quick and sound decisions under stressful conditions; • The ability to quickly adapt to changing situations; Physical Requirements: Candidate must be capable of: • Frequent or prolonged walking, standing, sitting, running, and stooping; • Climbing flights of stairs; • Responding to and subduing violent or potentially violent individual(s).
