| Description: | Master's degree in psychology, social work, behavioral sciences, counseling, or related field and five years of experience in the criminal justice system with 3 years at a supervisory level or any combination of related training and experience. Must satisfactorily complete local, state and national criminal history and fingerprint checks. Applicants within six months of meeting the minimum education/experience requirement may be considered for trainee status. Must obtain Beckman-Coulter AU-480 (or equivalent) Operator Certification within one year of employment. Must successfully obtain the FDLE Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) Certification within 6 months of employment or upon assignment which requires access to the Florida Crime Information Center (FCIC)/National Crime Information Center (NCIC). Certification must be maintained as a condition of employment; re-certification required every two years. This is a Level Two Limited Access FDLE certification. Position Summary: This is responsible professional and supervisory work directing the daily activities of a criminal justice program with substance abuse treatment within the Department of Court Services. An employee assigned to this classification is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all activities, operations and functions of the Drug Court substance abuse treatment and rehabilitation program. Work includes the supervision of subordinate professionals to ensure the efficient and effective operation of program activities. Work is performed under direction of a higher level supervisor and is reviewed through reports, conferences and observation of results obtained. |
