| Description: | The San Luis Regional Detention and Support Center is a 450-bed facility located in San Luis, Arizona (approximately 20 miles south of Yuma, Arizona) contracted with the U.S. Marshals Service and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. As Assistant Warden, you will report directly to the Warden for ensuring facility goals and objectives are achieved; supervise and implement operational policies and procedures as it relates to security of facility; and perform other related duties as assigned by the Warden. |
| Special Instructions: | We seek: - At a minimum, a high school graduate or equivalent accepted. - Additional college education and/or in-service correctional courses highly desirable. - At least (7) seven years of experience in a corrections program in a facility having a design capacity of at least 100 inmates/ residents. - At least (5) five years of experience in a supervisory capacity, with a minimum of (3) three years of being at a level of supervisory responsibility no more than two steps below this position. - Must be mature, flexible, intellectually alert, able to command the respect and confidence of inmates and staff, and philosophically committed to the objectives of the facility. - Must be able to obtain/certify: - AZ-obtain an Arizona DPS card within two weeks of employment. - TX-TCLEOSE jailer certification - Other states: Defined certifications in other states are required. |
