Management Job Summary Currently seeking a Director who is self-starting and self managed to be a part of our management team who will work out of our Hampton Roads facility. Job Description This Director is responsible for the administrative and programmatic needs for the overall functions and operations of a residential re-entry program. This position is responsible for developing and overseeing residential re-entry program services and supervising associated personnel. The Director is also required to provide full assistance to the Administrator in determining administrative and programmatic needs and implementing activities that will benefit the organization and contribute toward client residential and rehabilitative services. The Director must ensure that the facility stays in compliance with federal, state and local contract laws and regulations. Responsibilities also include oversight of Quality Assurance compliance for on-site program requirements and community relations. Must possess demonstrated leadership and professional knowledge of principles, methods and techniques as outlined by the American Correctional Association Standards. Candidates must meet the following requirements: Must possess a degree with related work in criminal justice, corrections, sociology, psychology, social work or a related field and have three (3) years of supervisory experience in criminal justice programming. Certification in counseling is highly preferred. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be detail oriented, well organized, fast learner, able to multi-task, meet tight deadlines and work under pressure. Ability to keep material confidential, utilize various database systems in order to input, extract and prepare spreadsheets and reports, etc. Ability to make decisions based on mature judgment in the day-to-day operation of the facility with demonstrated ability to function in a mature and intelligent manner during crisis situations. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and electronic communications is a must. Must be available to work evening hours and weekends when required, possess a valid driver’s license, private transportation, acceptable driving record and travel to worksites in Norfolk and Newport News, VA.
