Inmate Claims He Knew Of Attacks Three Years Ago

A man in a federal prison in Springfield, Mo., told News2Houston that he knew the attacks would take place because another inmate told him about the plans in 1997.
Thomas Oses said that he was in prison when Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman, otherwise known as the Blind Sheik, was in prison for being the mastermind behind the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.
Oses said that Abdel-Rahman envisioned a plan of terror for the United States.
'Our conversation centered around why did he want to hit the Pentagon and why did they want to hit the Pentagon,' Oses said.
'He said that 'It's the military heart of the United States. The devil's heart.''
Oses said that he told Abdel-Rahman it was hard to get to the Pentagon and then Oses claims Abdel-Rahman said 'not so.' Oses asked for an explaination and then Abdel-Rahman said 'not by airplane.'
Oses told News2Houston that he sent the FBI a 12-page letter three years ago explaining what Abdel-Rahman had allegedly told him.
'There was a plot to hit a nuclear power plant in Savannah, Ga., somewhere,' Oses said.
Don Clark, former special agent in charge of the FBI bureau in Houston, said that any information pertaining to terroristic attacks is never taken lightly.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons did confirm with KPRC TV that Oses and Abdel-Rahman were in prison at the same time, but the FBI will neither confirm nor deny the existence of the letter.
Agents are now investigating Oses' claim.
