| Officers Foil Juvenile-Center Escape Attempt |

Authorities in Johnson County, Kansas, said they prevented an escape attempt at the Juvenile Detention Center recently, according to KMBC 9 News. Officers believe the two inmates used a towel hook to scratch loose the mortar in their cell. They almost managed to remove a cinder block before getting caught, officers said. The two teenagers were charged with attempted escape, KMBC reported. |
