Residents picket sex offender release |

NEILLSVILLE, Wis (WSAU) More than 100 Neillsville residents met with corrections department officials about the release of convicted murderer and sex offender Gary Thiede. On September 1st he'll be released from the Clark County jail. He'll be living in a rental property on Blueberry Lane. When he was 18, Thiede murdered an elderly neighbor. He also sexually assaulted two women. He was sentenced to 20-years in prison, and he's served his time. Corrections officers told residents that Thiede will be subject to electronic monitoring, and he will only be allowed to leave his home on a fixed schedule. He cannot have unsupervised contract with children or his victim and their relatives. He's also been ordered to stay off drugs and alcohol. Read More. |
