OAKLAND, Calif. -- A raid in the Central Valley Tuesday took down dozens of suspected gang members who operated across the state. California Attorney General Jerry Brown said in a press conference Tuesday that the sweep wrapped-up a year long effort and involved top gang leaders who operated from inside prison. At the conference, Brown stood next to a board with mug shots of fifteen men, who Brown says are the leaders of Nuestra Familia, a powerful gang that oversees the Nortenos street gang.
