SAN QUENTIN, Calif.—A prison spokesman says a Northern California man convicted of fatally stabbing his children's mother and stuffing her body in a toy box is dead after hanging himself in his prison cell. San Quentin State Prison Lt. Rudy Luna says coroner staff officially confirmed that 33-year-old Honorio Pantaleon of Santa Rosa died on Friday. Terry Thornton of the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation says Pantaleon was found Aug. 23 hanging by a bed sheet tied to a locker. He had also apparently cut his own throat.
