Three people were arrested after a man sitting with a gun in a vehicle parked on Oriental Avenue in Atlantic City was saying he wanted to shoot everyone, police said Thursday. Officers Jose Gonzalez and Frankie Lane responded to the 100 block of Oriental Avenue at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday and found the suspected vehicle to be unoccupied, police said. They staked out the area to see if anyone would return to it, and three men approached it a few minutes later. One of them fit the description of the man with the gun. The officers found a handgun in the vehicle and one of the males was carrying narcotics, police said. All three were arrested. Andrew D. Prater, 29, of Brigantine Boulevard in Atlantic City, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and was wanted on three outstanding warrants, police said. He was taken to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $30,000 bail. Read More. |
