Bill Pertzborn owned a maintenance company in Tucson when a job for a professor at an Arizona State Prison opened up. Pertzborn’s father was already teaching plumbing at the prison’s East Unit and initially he wasn’t all that interested in the job. However, he found the hours were good and he could do both.
