ROCKFORD (WIFR) – Police say repeat offenders are responsible for a lot of crimes here in the Stateline. That’s why a state agency is trying to step in before convicts are back on our streets. More than 500 parolees are getting help through the Illinois Department of Corrections’ Summit of Hope program. It’s an expo that helps those who just got out of prison re-enter society.
