It wasn’t hard to spot a man running through yards and jumping over fences in Rockdale County, according to police. That’s because he was only wearing one thing. His underwear. But when deputies were able to apprehend Robert Brian McClellan, they learned why he was running, the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office said Monday. After allegedly escaping from a state prison in Augusta, McClellan, 36, allegedly stole a truck and robbed two banks, the sheriff’s office posted on its Facebook page. Sunday morning, several callers to 911 reported seeing the man along Fairview Road near Salem Road, according to police. After more than an hour of searching, deputies were able to find the man, later identified as McClellan, in the woods. He appeared to be under the influence when he was pulled out of the woods, according to police. Read More. |
