The fight over a special—prison mess—session of the Legislature is underway and Nebraska Watchdog has learned that charges of politics are alive and well. Asked by Nebraska Watchdog if he thinks a special session is needed Gov. Dave Heineman would only say, “The Department of Corrections is committed to completing a thorough review to determine what decisions were made, why, and by whom.” Heineman added, “Once these facts are known, decisions can be made and appropriate actions can be taken.” Read More. |
