Plans move ahead for mental health crisis center |

BLOOMINGTON — Work to open a crisis stabilization center for people who need short-term mental health care is moving forward but county funding for the project has been deferred until all financial pieces needed to operate the facility are in place. Chestnut Health Systems will open the new center later this fall after renovations to a building are completed and staff is hired to manage the facility. At Chestnut's request, the McLean County Board of Health deferred a $400,000 grant request from Chestnut until the agency puts together its financial resources for the program. Read More. |
